Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

From 2012-16 I was a Program Representative (Graduate Research Mentor) at UCLA’s Undergraduate Research Center for the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. My primary responsibility at the Center was to work with students in the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program, a fellowship for students of color interested in careers as college professors.

In summer 2014 I developed the syllabus for the academic professionalization course that is at the core of UCLA’s Mellon Mays program. I was the lead instructor for that course through spring of 2016.
